This 1-hour live presentation webinar will review head and neck anatomic structures vital to the administration of local anesthesia, and discuss common pitfalls and complications encountered. Since inferior alveolar nerve block anesthesia is the most challenging, specific mandibular block techniques will be presented.
The Kentucky Board of Dentistry amended the minimal educational requirements for dental auxiliary personnel prior to taking dental radiographs under a dentist's direct supervision (201 KAR 8:57OE). All dental auxiliary personnel must satisfy the following two (2) requirements before taking x-rays in a dental office: Didactic and Practical. This Course satisfies the Didactic requirements of the Kentucky Board of Dentistry.
This course is designed for dental assistants who would like advanced training in restorative dentistry. The course will provide pre-clinical proficiency in restorative procedures and will include placement and finishing of amalgam and composite restorations to clinical competency. The course consists of both Didactic and Practical components presented in two weekend sessions with an “intersession” in the participant's office of employment. PREREQUISITES REQUIRED
